Ukraine offers foreign citizens the opportunity to pursue higher education at accredited higher education institutions in accordance with Ukrainian legislation and international standards.
Foreign nationals may study in Ukraine at the following levels:
Bachelor’s degree;
Master’s degree;
Doctor of Philosophy (PhD);
preparatory programmes for language training.
Programmes are available in Ukrainian or English, depending on the chosen field of study and institution.
International applicants are admitted to Ukrainian higher education institutions based on documents confirming prior education.
The admission procedure for foreign citizens is regulated by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and differs from the admission process for Ukrainian nationals.
In particular:
national entrance examinations are not required for foreign applicants;
an official invitation letter for study is issued;
admission may take place during several admission periods throughout the year, depending on the programme.
